    Job Description Job Description Job BriefAs Sales Representatives are to provide excellent customer service and meet sales quotas for our business.

    Salespeople with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions.

    A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints before and after the sale is required.

    Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the stores profitability.
    ResponsibilitiesGreet and direct customersProvide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and accurate etas)Answer customers questions about specific productsConduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasingCross-sell productsInform customers about discounts and special offersStay up-to-date with new products/servicesActively and continuously grow your knowledge of the product, the industry, and the company.
    Detailed Day to Day DutiesCheck emails. E-mails are to be checked before the store opens and periodically throughout the day.

    This is because internal business-related changes and communication generally happen through email including required meetings, human resource updates and information, and operational updates.

    It is important that you are aware of all changes as soon as possible.
    Accept incoming sales calls as requested by office staff. The office will manage the order to keep distribution as fair as possible.

    You are not to take sales calls when you have a customer in the store, are on point, or on deck.

    Respond to all customers within 24 hours. This may be through email, text, or phone. Always communicate with the office staff if action is required and or to add notes to their account. Involve managers when needed.o There may be times when the office may ask you to contact a customer. This is generally due to a delayed order or customer question.

    Customers must receive contact by the end of your shift or by the end of the next day if the message comes in when you are off.

    Reply all to that email so all necessary notes can be added into Eclicktic, even if you dont speak directly with the customer.

    (This would include notes, like left a message).Appropriately use of the up system for turn taking in assisting customers. When you are on point, you must be ready to greet and assist the next customer. This includes managing your ups through DoorCounts. Assign your customer to yourself after greeting, then mark them appropriately after they have left the store.
    Assist customers in the store.

    This includes, but is not limited to:
    o Greeting all customers in the store and making them feel welcome.o Direct customers to appropriate products.

    Demonstrate products and emphasize sellable features.o Utilize online catalogs, kiosks, and our Key Home website.o Appropriately ask for the sale.o Provide quotes and pricing.

    Seek approval from the Store Manager or Sales Manager for special packages and arrangements. Quotes are not to be written down and sent home with the customer.
    Learn and maintain product knowledge. Learn new product knowledge in a timely manner. Seek help through your Sales Manager first, then manufacturer reps as needed.
    Responsible for providing customers with accurate ETAs at the time of sale. The time frames rely upon available stock, so always check our warehouse then manufacturer stock when possible. ETAs are updated periodically by the PO Manager and updated on the Vendor Master List.

    Changes to ETAs will always be communicated via email.o Whenever possible, utilize online inventory offered by manufacturers to check stock on items or fabrics before the order is placed in order to provide the most accurate time frame possible.

    Provide a completed Sales Order Form to the administrative assistant for sales order entry.

    Completed forms include at least the following:
    o Sales name(s)o Item numbers, quantity, and location. (Always provide complete information for custom orders to ensure no mistakes are made during order entry.

    This includes complete model number, name, fabrics, other options, and special notes).o Financing information, including termsHandwritten notes regarding specific reason for all sales finalo Delivery, including priceo Extended warranty and priceo Promotional information, such as a coupono Down filled (yes/no)o Additional instructions requiredo Customer name, if they are a returning customer or not, address, phone, and email.

    Responsible for meeting monthly sales goals.
    Responsible for selling extended warranty. Offer extended warranty with every purchase.

    Responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding manufacturer warranties, extended warranties, sleep guarantee, return policy, financing and terms, delivery pricing and information, pick-up information, and ETAs prior to sale.

    Explain and arrange fabric check-outs. Follow up with each customer in a timely manner for the return of swatches and/or sale.
    Maintain the neatness of the store as during business hours.

    This includes, but is not limited to:

    o Notifying the Merchandise Team when items are untagged.o Picking up garbage, papers, pens and other unsightly items.o Notify the Store Manager of cleanliness issues, such as mirrors or glass needing to be cleaned.o All damage is to be reported to the Store Manager or Sales Manager immediately.o Lamp shades are to be kept straight and pillows and cushions are to be regularly fluffed and straightened throughout the day.o Straighten rugs as needed.

    Replace all furniture to its proper place after demonstrating it to customers.
    Catalogs and price books are to be put away in a timely manner.
    Fabric swatches are to be returned to their proper place in a timely manner.
    Kitchen is to be kept clean and tidy, including doing your own dishes.
    Tester candles are to be lit and set on the showroom floor prior to opening.
    Signage is to be placed in appropriate areas at time of opening. Signage is to be taken down after hours.
    Attend all sales training and sales meetings. Responsible for knowing products, including warranties, construction, factory locations, and shipping details. Resources are available to learn, but you must take incentive when you lack the information needed to sell.

    Continually expand understanding of online resources, including the Key Home website and features, manufacturer catalogs and information, Eclicktic inventory and customer information, and e-mail and/or text communication with customers.


    Sales Floor Expectations:
    Respect for all employees and positions within the company is expected at all times. This includes respect for management, office staff, warehouse staff, janitorial staff, and other sales associates.
    Professional representation of the company at all times, which includes attire, hygiene, and overall presentation. No visible tattoos on the sales floor.
    Must be on time every day. Submit time-off requests to the supervisor in advance. Must work all weekends.
