    The Opportunity

    Delaware North Gaming is seeking a full-time Surveillance Officer to join our team at Hamburg Gaming in Hamburg, New York. As a Surveillance Officer, you will be conducting facility wide surveillance camera operations and video/audio recordings.

    Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the enforcement of State Video Lottery regulations.
  • Provide surveillance of gaming room floor and cash operations for the purpose of spotting procedural violations and illegal activity
  • Use of audio/video equipment to observe business operations.
  • Comply with confidentiality regulations regarding all surveillance information including camera coverage, investigations, and proprietary material.
  • Verify and account for surveillance records, reports, and camera views.
  • Written reports and logging of any observed violations and illegal activity, in a timely manner
  • Maintain current knowledge of camera locations and viewing angles.
  • Monitor facility intrusion and panic alarms.
  • Report promptly all camera and equipment deficiencies
  • Maintain a safe work and customer environment.
  • Treats each person, customer, or associate as an individual and in a professional manner.
  • Leads by example in the skills of Customer service and positive interaction with associates, customers, and supervisors by mutual respect for all person's needs.

    Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Minimum one to two years related experience.
  • Working knowledge of surveillance audio and video equipment
  • Must be able to obtain a NYS Video Gaming License
  • Pleasant and friendly; ability to adhere to GuestPath's Universal Service Standards
  • Ability to communicate with others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attentive and detailed oriented
  • Capable of following procedures and taking directions
  • Minimum computer skills, including e-mail, word, excel spreadsheets, data input and record keeping.
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point
  • Superior organization and guest service abilities required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills required.
  • Excellent oral communication and management skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make decisions in a timely manner.

    Physical Requirements

  • Ability to hear and speak to communicate on two-way radio
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Work environment may consist of a dark area viewing video monitors for entire shift
  • Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
