- Responsible for the Global Proteins Supply, Inventory, and Capacity planning process related to our global manufacturing sites and/or contract manufacturing facilities.
- Create and analyze monthly capacity plan showing planned production, projected inventories and capacity utilization
- Provide guidance and interact with Plants/Asset Schedulers to meet planned order requirements and resolve gaps
- Develop scenarios for medium/long term horizon to support business S&OP decision process as necessary
- Recommend changes to target inventories, kanbans, turns and safety stocks when necessary to deliver required customer service levels within policy and guidelines
- Tracks all master planning metrics and reports appropriately. Leads root cause analysis for key metrics.
- Coordinate and lead special projects as required. Projects may include analysis of new product introductions, asset utilization studies, supply chain cost optimization, process transfers and process changes
- Heavy interface between the Business, Supply Chain and Operations teams to communicate and resolve supply issues as they arise
- Lead and execute defined best practices from IFF SIOP Process
- The Master Planner creates and maintains the supply and inventory plan which covers 3-24 months as a part of SIOP process
- Responsible for developing appropriate product replenishment strategies based on historical demand profiles, demand variability and business policies affordability needs included. Anticipation of future changes to these profiles include effects like seasonality, product promotions and impact of new product introductions. Anticipated demand can be used to set replenishment inventory levels
- Reviews replenishment strategy and its consequent master data in the ERP system regularly to ensure planning system is clean and generating proper results
- Responsible for setting inventory targets in the system using IOT tools to define system stocking levels for MTS items. Responsible to lead regular reviews of these levels in conjunction with the business
- BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 5-10 years of supply chain or operations experience
- Experience specifically in planning and scheduling production strongly preferred
- APICS/CPF certification (or equivalent) and/or inventory management experience desirable
- SAP/APO/MyBis experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
- Ability to travel (up to 15%)
