    Role Description:

    The Associate Director, Accounting will report directly to the VP, Finance & Corporate Controller and will have direct interaction with personnel at all levels of the organization, including the Companys Executive team. The Associate Director will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and day-to-day operation of the Companys Accounting department. This role will partner closely with leadership across the organization to build the consensus and commitment necessary to ensure effective implementation of the financial teams broader goals.

    The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of operating effectively across functional boundaries, building and sustaining external and internal relationships, while using seasoned judgment, coupled with excellent financial acumen and integrity. The candidate will be expected to thoroughly understand the financial details and be able to translate them into operational and strategic opportunities and be adaptive to the changing needs of the organization.

    Role Responsibilities:
    • Manage and lead the general accounting team and financial reporting process.
      1. Establish and maintain formal accounting policies, practices, and procedures to ensure US GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.
      2. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements, account reconciliations, accruals, and reserves
      3. Serve as a key interface for external auditors in connection with financial audits
      4. Assist with the preparation of management reports and investor reporting
      5. Work closely with financial planning and analysis team on reporting efforts related to budgeting and forecasting
      6. Monitor and ensure the timely identification of evolving accounting guidance and potential impacts on the company.
      7. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures; improve and strengthen financial control environment.
      8. Tax provisioning, reviews, filings, payments, etc. to ensure compliance with IRS and US GAAP guidance and timelines
    • Liaison, close partner, and advisor to benefits administration and payroll
    • Continually look for ways to help our team get better at what we do, drive growth, and help the company achieve its long-term financial goals.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in finance or accounting with 7-10 years of overall experience in the areas of Accounting and Financial reporting
    • CPA strongly preferred
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including complex topics and areas
    • Big 4 accounting experience, preferred
    • SAP and other system implementation experience, required
    • Experience in technical accounting for M&A and Financing transactions
    • Experience in researching, developing, and implementing accounting policies and procedures
    • Experience reporting to C-Level executives
    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities; deadline oriented
    • Track record of managing global service providers to ensure work is completed on time, with quality and on budget
    • Skill in problem analysis and resolution
    • Excellent verbal and writing skills
    • Hands on work ethic with strong attention to detail
