Programmer Analyst - Gulfport, United States - Island View Casino Resort
Description
The Programmer Analyst's role is to define, develop, test, analyze and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements.
This includes writing, coding, testing and analyzing software programs and applications. This position will also be responsible for researching, designing, documenting and modifying software specifications throughout the production life cycle.Position RequirementsCollege diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems or software engineering plus one-year equivalent work experience required.
Must be proficient in a variety of programming languages including Visual Studios, .Net, C#, ASP.NET, and FoxPro. Solid working knowledge of current Internet Technologies including HTML, XML, Web Services, JavaScript, ASP.NET, C#, Silverlight, and Flash. Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems and Usability issues. Must be able to obtain a Mississippi Gaming Permit. Developed at least one mobile applications. Experience in development on the iOS or Android platforms preferred.Must have designed and developed apps that use both APIs and business embedded logic to achieve the mobile app's desired functionality.
Must have an excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.Extensive relational database and operating systems experience with MSSQL, Oracle, and FoxPro as well as thorough understanding of platforms such as Windows, .NET Framework required.
