These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies.

Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.

The Global Procurement organization at United Airlines is responsible for procuring goods and services and developing/ maintaining relationships with third-party providers with the objective of reducing total cost and risk to the Company while improving levels of quality, service, and technology.

The objective of this manager role is to act as a consultant and support the entire Global Procurement organization with a variety of strategic sourcing and special analytics projects.

The position objective is to lead cross-functional teams through an established sourcing methodology crafted to deliver Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings across the enterprise.

This role will be responsible for leading existing procurement category teams and affected business division partners through the Total Cost of Ownership process and will be accountable to drive incremental savings across the enterprise.

In addition, this role is crafted to build the internal capabilities of the Procurement division and will be instrumental in redefining current business model for sourcing which is an important element of the enterprise cost reduction efforts.

This role will have direct managerial responsibility of analysts in United's offshore India office.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in cross functional team responsible for leading and driving TCO methodology across direct and indirect enterprise spend categories

Implement strategic sourcing efforts such as RFI/RFP/RFQ's or other selected strategies; lead the development of all related materials (bid documents, pricing matrix, project plan, partner interviews, etc.)

Benchmark current internal processes & external markets to find opportunities and develop strategies to gain identified gaps

Act as a consultant and lead process-improvement initiatives for the Global Procurement department; Process map current-state processes (such as RFx, catalog & contract management, etc.), and develop standardized future-state processes

Lead an offshore team of analysts, providing mentorship and extracting valuable output on all above-mentioned responsibilities

Efficiently manage relationships with all internal and external partners

Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor's degree

Management consulting, Finance, Analytics, Supply chain or another business-related field

4+ years of consulting, sourcing, finance, or data analytics experience

Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and people skills

Works well in high-paced cross-functional environment

Good business insight and proven capability of leading sophisticated projects

Sophisticated PowerPoint and Excel skills

Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

Authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

MBA or Master's in Data Analytics

Management consulting experience
