Provides routine and problem-visit gynecologic care to patients.During the course of provision of care, the APRN may order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests and prescribe pharmacologic agents, treatments, and non-pharmacologic therapies.
Acts as a resource to address patient questions. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinic setting. Provides routine follow-up evaluations for obstetric patients and coordinates follow-up care with the other practice providers as needed. Completes documentation of the management of these patients.Reports to:

Minimum Qualifications:
Current Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife by the RI Department of Health
Completion of approved nurse practitioner program and certification by ANCC and/or AANP OR completion of nurse-midwifery program accredited by ACNM or ACME and certification by AMCB or ACNM.
Specialized training or experience in gynecology required.
Two years of relevant practice experience required.
