    Ocean Freight Expeditor

    Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.

    A leading distributor of carbon, stainless pipe, fittings, and Flanges is seeking to hire an Ocean Freight Expeditor. With your strong organization and attention to detail, you will profoundly impact the organization by supporting the Purchasing Department. Submit your resume today

    Responsibilities:

    • Tracking international import transactions including documentation, supplier dock details, and ports of destination.
    • Prepare all data entry and confirmation of tracking such departure date, port of departure, arrival date to port of destination and the anticipated date of customs clearance.
    • Confirm international inbound shipments are delivered accurately and timely.
    • Coordination of daily shipments by communicating with carriers, freight forwarding, and internal customers.
    • Maintain shipments until completion and provide transaction details and communication timely.
    • Consistently compare rates to ensure competitiveness.

    List Qualification or Requirements:

    • Ocean Import experience +2 years required
    • Freight forwarding experience in Ocean operations processing and procedures
    • Knowledge in international freight terms, rules, and regulations such as, Incoterms, US CBP, etc.
