- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel motor coaches, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues and develop effective solutions to repair them
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and regular servicing of motor coaches in compliance with DOT regulations and manufacturer's specifications
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent on each task
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
- Communicate effectively with other mechanics, drivers, and management to ensure efficient and effective repair and maintenance of our fleet
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with experience working on motor coaches or other large vehicles
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
