    Job Summary
    We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing and Communications Intern to join our team at I.M.P. This internship provides a unique opportunity for individuals interested in promoting live concerts and events to gain valuable knowledge and experience while working in a dynamic environment.

    In this role, you will have the chance to work with our marketing and communications departments to execute creative and effective marketing campaigns, resulting in increased ticket sales, community presence, and brand recognition. You will be expected to have a professional attitude, an open mind, and a willingness to learn about concert promotions.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Website Management: Update company websites with show information, artist biographies, and press photos, and assist in maintaining the internal artist database.
    • Street Team Coordination: Coordinate and maintain the street team calendar and activations.
    • Marketing Materials Distribution: Organize, install, and track the distribution of promotional materials at venues, partner businesses, and other points around the city.
    • Copywriting and Content Creation: Contribute to copywriting efforts for marketing emails, press releases, social media, and internal marketing communications.
    • Buzz Generation: Participate in brainstorming sessions for marketing and promoting upcoming shows.
    • Data Analysis: Utilize Google Analytics and ticketing platform marketing tools to analyze sales reports and trends, and genre/affinity targeting.

    About I.M.P.: Formed in 1980, I.M.P. is a Bethesda, MD-based concert promoter and event production company that owns and operates several iconic venues, including the 9:30 Club, Lincoln Theatre, Merriweather Post Pavilion, and The Anthem. With over 41 years of experience, I.M.P. has hosted nearly 18,000 events and welcomed millions of music fans.
