    S3 Inc. is seeking a System Safety Analyst to support on-going projects at Redstone Arsenal, Al


    Description:
    System Safety Analyst will support the government's application and management of a System Safety Program for multiple weapon system programs IAW MIL-STD-882E and DA Pam


    Responsibilities:

    • Conducting safety assessments and hazards analyses of hardware and software that entails missiles, rockets, launchers and related combat equipment
    • Prepare and/or update Safety Assessment Reports, Hazards Analyses, and System Safety Risk Assessments
    • Prepare and/or review System Safety Management Plans ( SSMPs) and System Safety Program Plans ( SSPPs) and related safety documentation
    • Conduct and/or review system safety assessments of new, updated, and/or modified system hardware, including change, waiver and exemption requests
    • Assess design and system test documentation for incorporation of system safety related requirements and assess test data to verify system safety requirements
    • Perform technical System Safety Reviews and develop required documentation for Government acceptance
    • Meet/coordinate with Government and contractor engineer, technical and test agency personnel, and Safety Office representatives to review safety related documentation, test reports, test data and incident data and assess/coordinate safety implications and risk levels to users
    • Review contractor documentation for safety implications and support the development of inputs to Statements of Work and specification from a Safety perspective

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 10 years relevant functional experience, or HS and 14 years of relevant experience.
    • A highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable individual who has comprehensive knowledge of SOW areas and performs specialty engineering or analysis.
    • Carries out complex or novel assignments or performs work of specialized nature.
    • Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.
    • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
    • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area of integrates with others, able to utilize, operate and analyze complex systems.
    • Must have knowledge of MIL-STD- 882 and missile and rocket and launcher weapon systems
