    Description
    We have an exciting opening for a qualified Medical Technologist to fill a PRN position.

    Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Nursing, the Med Tech perform the following duties:
    AndrologyExamines and processes specimens for routine semen analysis.
    Processes semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs). Performs semen cryopreservation and maintains proper sample inventory in cryomoduleEndocrinePerforms endocrine hormone assays for infertility patients.
    Completes understanding of blood tests required for the different ART cycles.

    Performs phlebotomy, as required, on patients with the complete identification of each sample drawn, including the preparation for both in house testing and specimens being sent to a reference lab.

    Assures proper sample collection, delivery and identification.
    Communicates with center personnel, medical staff, patients and outside resources to ensure high quality patient care.
    Other clinical laboratory duties as assignedAdministrative / DocumentationProcesses requisitions, test reports and test records in a timely manner.
    Maintains lab records, reports and files.

    Communicates with practice personnel, medical staff, patients and outside resources to ensure high quality patient care and customer service orientation.

    Assists as required in maintaining lab operations in conformity with the most current OSHA and CLIA regulationsThe ideal candidate will have excellent time management and organizational skills.

    This position requires independent judgment as well as the ability to work closely with a team of clinicians. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills; capable of multi-tasking and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be customer service driven.


    Requirements:
    Associate's degree in medical laboratory sciences
