Assistant Educator for a Home ChildcareDuties and Responsibilities:At Payton's Play Space an Early Childhood Professional is a childcare professional who cares of and educates infants and toddler's teaching children fundamentals, which includes but not limited to teaching number recognition, color, and shapes, as well as helping children build their social skills and keeping the home clean and safe for all of the children.

Duties and responsibilities of an Early Childhood Professional include developing and delivering interactive learning programs designed to engage and educate young children.

• Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children within the home.

• Provide basic needs for children:

• Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.
• Manage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals.
• Strong, active listening skills to understand and adapt to the various needs of children and parents.
• Compassion, patience, communication with parents, children, and all staff required.
• Other duties as needed.

• Pass criminal background check, drug test, TB test and physical. 12 hours of mandatory trainings: health and safety, safe sleep, child abuse, and Universal Precautions.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
