HR Soul is currently partnering with a client in the storage facility management space that is looking for a talented Learning and Development Manager to join their growing company This person will be ideally located in Sarasota but also open to the Tampa Bay area. This role will mostly be done remotely with the occasional meeting on site.
*Please note, the compensation for this role is between $65k - $70k salary, plus a 10% bonus, 401k match (4.5%) and ability to work remotely either in the Tampa Bay or Sarasota area.
Overall Responsibility:
The Learning & Development Manager plays a pivotal role within the Training Department, spearheading the design, implementation, and execution of comprehensive training programs aimed at enhancing the skills and competencies of Absolute team members. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role will ensure team members are fully trained by planning, directing and coordinating programs to enhance their knowledge and skills using proven expertise in leading training teams, making customized training solutions, and driving organizational development initiatives.
Primary Functions:
Lead and manage a team of training specialists to deliver impactful training programs, ensuring alignment with Absolute's strategic objectives
Develop and implement training strategies, policies, and procedures to foster a culture of continuous learning and development
Design and deliver high-quality training content, leveraging various methodologies including virtual platforms, webinars, and in-person sessions, and communicate content proactively through various sources of communication including email, Teams channels, LMS, etc.
Plan, create, manage, and facilitate Manager-in-Training and Manager development initiatives
Create visual materials outlining training roadmaps and career paths
Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs across different departments and levels within the organization
Work closely with departmental leaders to customize training programs that target precise business needs, productivity gaps, performance enhancement, and service improvements, translating these needs into Learning and Development solutions and strategies
Oversee the administration and maintenance of Absolute's Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accessibility and effectiveness of training materials; maintain all team member records of training and track dates of training expirations when applicable
Collaborate with the HR Department to establish standardized learning experiences to ensure newly hired and current team members are fully prepared to successfully perform the job responsibilities Learning & Development Manager
Management and continued improvement of new hire/newly promoted training materials, process and lead training for all positions and levels as needed
Consistently train, develop, coach, and manage the performance of training team members to ensure that training presented and provided meet set company standards and position expectations
Collaborate with various departments to spearhead the development of standardized training curriculum and Standard Operating Procedures for all critical processes within the organization
Evaluate training effectiveness through metrics analysis and feedback mechanisms, making necessary adjustments to optimize learning outcomes
Actively review current training materials for clarity, effectiveness, and quality; review with department leads to ensure materials are current and collaborate with department leads to review and approve materials before finalizing and distribution Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in training and development, integrating innovative approaches into Absolute's training programs
Serve as a subject matter expert on training-related matters, providing guidance and support to team members and leadership
Source and collaborate with external training providers and educational institutions to expand Absolute's training offerings and enhance team member development opportunities
Assist in other projects as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervision of 1-2 training specialists
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to assess and select effective training and instructional methods and procedures as well as analyze data and results to identify strengths and weaknesses
Thorough understanding of principles and methods necessary for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for various learning styles, and the measurement of training effects
Demonstrates exceptional customer service by promptly delivering effective solutions to applicants, team members, and managers
Maintain a high-level of professionalism
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Demonstrated ability to build rapport, develop relationships and establish credibility and trust; ability to navigate sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Possesses advanced critical thinking abilities, keen attention to detail, strong prioritization, and organizational skills, coupled with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to manage and implement company-wide programs, processes, and initiatives, ensuring proper communication and effective change management, independently and successfully
Proficient in the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools or multimedia training platforms
Excellent active listening, consultative, negotiation and presentation skills
Strong project management skills with minimum supervision and within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices
Highly proficient in all Microsoft Suites including Outlook, Word and Excel
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Business Administration or equivalent field required; Masters degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Human Resources Management or Business Administration preferred
At least three years of experience in a training role and driving project initiatives and ideally a year of experience with people management.
Knowledge of property management or storage management a plus, but not required
