Northland Community and Technical College seeks a full-time Architectural Drafting/Technology Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching, who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community.

Education Requirement
~ Associate's degree in architectural drafting/technology or a degree in architecture.
Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience in architectural drafting/technology or as a license/registered architect.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field.
The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Have a minimum of two years' experience teaching.Coursework in teaching pedagogies and preparation in principles and methods of evaluation.
Be knowledgeable about methods of instruction, testing and evaluation of students.
Advanced knowledge of wood frame methods, the materials used in residential construction, and their applications.
General knowledge of international building codes for residential and commercial.
Current Architect registration
Knowledge of Auto CAD Revit
Experience with hand and CAD drafting methods, techniques, and guidelines for use in production of construction documents.
Other Requirements In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
