Location: Consistent work in Newark with potential job sites in Central & Southeast Ohio. Newark office: 155 Dayton Road, Newark Ohio 4305.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 AM to 5/6 PM. Overtime available. Some Saturdays may be required. Travel is dependent on the specific contracted job.

Work conditions: This position is mostly outside, doing strenuous work in the elements.

Compensation: Starting at $21-$27/hr based on experience. Overtime/OT pay is expected as needed. Bonus opportunities based on annual company-wide performance.

Skilled Laborer Job Summary:

A Skilled Laborer's main responsibility is the installation and repair of underground utility infrastructure. Skilled Laborer Role Responsibilities:

• Exemplify our Core Values: Protect, Perform, Positivity, Pride, and Prosperity
• Fusing pipe, tapping into existing pipe, tie-ins to other infrastructure, pressure testing
• Utilize GPS to map placement of underground infrastructure
• Direct crew when Foreman is absent
• Monthly inspections for auditable items
• Observe operators from excavation to assist them in safely digging around existing utilities
• Use hand tools to dig around existing utilities to prevent damage
• Set up work zones for crews to complete tasks and enhance safety measures
• Maintain a clean, organized job site free from unnecessary hazards
• Unload and inventory materials
• Perform Driver's Vehicle Inspections and cleaning on vehicles and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Skilled Laborer Requirements:

• 6 months of experience of underground utility experience in natural gas, water, sewer, telecommunications, or electric
• Insurable Driver's License
• Pass DOT drug-testing & DOT physical
• Pass criminal background check
• Be physically active for long periods of time
• Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out
• Able to continuously lift and carrying objects 40+ pounds
• Ability to be a team player with a can-do attitude
• Competent Person Training (provided)
• Withstand the climate year-round
• Ability to adhere to safety expectations set by OSHA and client/company standard
• Ability to complete computer-based and hands-on training once hire
• Willingness to travel out of town if necessary
• Ability to use personal vehicles for commuting to job sites as required.
• Complete development and training as required.
• Physical capability to handle tasks.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA standards.

Skilled Laborer Preferred Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in underground utility infrastructure
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
• CDL Class A is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• HeavyJob knowledge
• Proficient with iPads
• GPS Experience
• Previously held Operator Qualifications trainings
