- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Participate in safety training sessions for employees, providing guidance on best practices and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with department managers to address safety concerns and develop corrective action plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, near misses, and corrective actions taken.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures.
- Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (candidates nearing completion of their degree will also be considered), or related work experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Prior experience in a safety-related role or internship (preferred but not required).
