- Participates in department staff meetings

- Complies with the Syracuse VA Medical Center Bylaws
- Serves on peer review and other committees as requested.
- Complies with licensing, credentialing, privileging, cyber security, and all other requirements of the VHA and the Syracuse VA Medical Center.
- Maintains computer access privileges according to policy. Completes medical records and relevant documentations timely in accordance with local and regional VA regulations.
- Participates in ongoing process improvements within their specific areas of expertise.

Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

The Staff Psychiatrist will serve at the Rome VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, and is responsible for delivering the best possible medical care to our veteran patients. This care must be delivered in accordance with hospital policy and meet community standards for both inpatients and outpatients.
