    Greetings,

    Our client in Union City/Fremont area, CA is hiring a Quality Engineer I. This is a full time employee position with great opportunity to work on challenging assignments and grow your career.

    REPORT TO: Direction of Quality

    SUMMARY:

    Develop and implement quality systems with an emphasis on product returns, complaint management, and overall root cause and corrective action measures to drive the CAPA, optimize new product development within a manufacturing environment.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Analyze system data to determine major contributors to poor performing processes.
    • Part of cross functional team in developing and improving Quality activities.
    • Acts as a subject matter expert for data acquisition and other Quality software.
    • Performs other assigned duties as deemed necessary by their manager.

    DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Analyze production and supplier nonconformance data to determine cause.
    • Analyze customer returns to determine underlying root causes in a timely manner.
    • Improve QMS procedures/documents that align with ISO Standards.
    • Root cause analysis of CAPA process using DMAIC methodology and 8D/5 Why tools.
    • Under supervision to create PFMEA and Capability Studies for customer deliverables and to improve manufacturing processes.
    • Review and verify Engineering / Customer prints

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • 0-3 years of Quality Engineering experience.
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, Master's degree preferred or Equivalent work experience.
    • Manufacturing environment experience a plus.
    • Experience with measuring tools and Equipment.
    • GD&T/Engineering prints a plus.
    • Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task.
    • Basic knowledge of quality systems – statistics, and sampling.
    • Knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems standards a plus.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
    • Frequently lifts, carries, or moves objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
