    Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Coordinator, Adult Mental Health Services/Bridges Crisis Unit, provides an enhanced level of support for substance use disorders (SUD) and/or co-occurring disorders for those in AMHS. The Recovery Coach will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to individuals seeking recovery in order to help access services and supports prevent relapse and promotes long-term recovery. Duties may include facilitating groups, providing outreach, and connecting consumers to services within the agency and within the community. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI's mission, policies and procedures.


    Requirements: Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D is required. Must have two continuous years in recovery from addiction(s) with experience navigating treatment services and/or prevention; experience receiving publicly funded treatment and recovery services for addiction. Two years of experience interacting with persons with substance use disorder required. Candidate must have MDHHS approved Peer Recovery Coach certification. Must be a MCBAP Certified Peer Recovery Mentor or must become certified within a maximum of 1 year from the date of hire or change in regulation. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.


    Conditional Employment Requirements: Most possess a valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job related use. Must possess MDHHS Peer Recovery Coach certification or the MCBAP Certified Peer Recovery Mentor certification or must become certified within a maximum of (1) year from date or hire. Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of Michigan State Police clearance check (including fingerprinting), a pre-employment physical exam, verification of acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. MUST be able to pass a 5 panel pre-employment drug screen. Candidate must be able to pass a physical exam annually and is required to receive a Quantiferon TB test tri-annually.


    Salary/Hours: Starting salary $ $21.18 per hour. 24 hours per week, Schedule is Sunday - Wednesday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm hours are somewhat flexible & will be discussed during the interview.
