    Description

    Responsibilities:

    As the EH&S Coordinator, you will work in a manufacturing setting. Will work on the production floor prioritizing the following:

    Creating Risk Assessment and JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for all machines on the production floor

    Create work instructions for each of the positions. Develop safe operating procedures which identify and take account all relevant hazards.

    Conduct regular workplace safety inspections to identify and address hazard that could lead to injuries and illnesses.

    Participate in reviews, assessment of risk management policies and protocols; make recommendations and implements modifications and improvements.

    Implement Corporate driven Environmental, Health and Safety strategies, programs, and initiatives.

    Conduct facility audits to ensure Policies and Procedures are being properly followed.

    • Manage hazardous substances and the disposal of waste materials, products, etc.
    • Assist with waste minimization programs and strategies.

    Communicate safety policy, practice and procedures throughout the company.

    Accountabilities:

    Complete and file monthly data in our safety management system

    Champion the safety-first culture by leading and engaging in safety improvement initiatives.

    Lead and manage all safety training programs.

    Facilitate monthly Safety Committee meetings.

    Ensure completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting

    Qualifications:

    Associate's degree in occupational safety & health or related field of study preferred. In lieu of degree, 4 years of more experience with safety, environmental and health in a manufacture environment

    Skills, and Knowledge:

    Excellent interpersonal skills, written, verbal communication and organizational skills.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office software
    • Must be detail-oriented and recognize importance of accuracy and timeliness in completing tasks.
    • Ability to handle confidentiality in handling employee information and records.
    • Ability to work independently.
