Trinity Technology Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time employee to join us as a SAFe Release Train Engineer. Candidate should be a self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a global, matrixed, fast-paced environment.
This is an onsite position. Only candidates local to Sacramento, CA, or Northern California need to apply. Salary depends on work experience.
Project Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the Agile Release Train and ensuring the ART team's success.
Coach teams on the Agile Release Train (ART) on Scrum and SAFe principles, developing their understanding of its practices.
Create and maintain the PI Planning calendars for the Agile Release Trains.
Responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating PI Planning, and other ART-level ceremonies.
Coordinate and facilitate ART ceremonies such as PI Planning, ART Syncs, System Demos, and Inspect and Adapt.
Support the Scrum Masters of the teams within the ART, ensure their needs are addressed to create a high-performing ART.
Continuously work with teams to deliver PI Objectives for each PI.Owns the Risks, Issues, Action Items and Decisions (RAID) coordination for the Agile Release Train.
Help monitor, manage, escalate, and resolve risks, dependencies, impediments, and bottlenecks to ensure the PI goals are met.
Manage program Kanban and optimize the flow of value of Epics and Features through the ART.
Collaborate with the Product Managers, Enterprise Architects and the Leadership team to ensure a healthy ART backlog always exists in readiness for the upcoming PI Planning event.
Facilitate communication and collaboration within the ART to support value delivery and PI commitments.Interact with business stakeholders, Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, DevOps Engineers, Application Teams, IT Infrastructure Teams and external vendors.
Provide oversight and guidance to Agile teams in terms of release planning, cross-team coordination, and dependency management.
Support PI Execution by tracking ART progress and metrics such as PI burnup charts, program predictability etc.
Measure ART delivery, maturity, and performance and review the metrics with the ART to identify improvement opportunities.
Communicate program information, progress on PI Objectives, and key health metrics as appropriate.
Required Skills and Experience:
Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile Framework principles and practices.
SAFe Release Train Engineer 6.0 (RTE) and SAFe Practice Consultant 6.0 (SPC) certifications are a must.
At least 4 years as SAFe Release Train Engineer managing one or more ARTs of at least 4-5 delivery teams.
At least 2 years as a SAFe Scrum Master leading Agile teams within a SAFe Agile Release Train (ART).At least 5 years working in an Agile Software Development environment.
Excellent teamwork skills and proven ability to influence cross-functional and cross-organizational teams.
Proven communication, organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Experience in ServiceNow Scaled Agile Framework module for managing Agile team's day-to-day work and artifacts.
SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) certifications.
Demonstrated experience in a complex, large-scale, multi-vendor cloud environment.
Previous Public Sector experience.
Previous health care experience.
