    General Purpose of Job:

    To provide general clerical, equipment, and patient care support to patient care units.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Education and/or Experience:
    • Nurse Aide, Certified Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician School, EMT training
    • Training or experience to perform EKG and/or Phlebotomy preferred.
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:
    • American Red Cross CPR or Basic life Support (BLS) certification prior to hire. American Heart Association - Basic Life Support (BLS) will be obtained at first renewal period and maintained continuously thereafter.
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within 6 months of hire and maintained continuously thereafter.
    • Nurse Aide, Certified Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician School, Emergency Medical Technician
    • Must obtain American Medical Technologists Phlebotomy Technician (RPT) certification or American Society of Clinical Pathology Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) Certification within one year of hire.
