We currently have an opening for an Electrical Controls Engineer for a large multinational food manufacturer. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years PLC programming and industrial electrical experience. Associates degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

    Electrical Controls Engineer:
    Responsible for the scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance and repair of a wide variety of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment requiring strong Electrical and Programmable Logic Control skills in addition to working with mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics systemsEffectively complete preventive and proactive maintenance to prevent breakdowns on equipmentDay to day troubleshooting, repair, and installation of low & high voltage industrial electromechanical & control systems for utility and production equipmentUtilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages while collaborating with other departmentsEffectively utilizes RSLogix and Allen Bradley Software to program and troubleshoot PLC driven systemsDiagnose PLC errors to restore faulted equipment after power outagesResponsible for documenting existing and new equipment, control, and power system installationAnalyze test results, machine error messages or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problemsObserves mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble

    • Prioritizes work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimize manufacturing downtimeUtilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to enter work orders and track necessary partsRepair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement, as necessaryObserve and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devicesOperate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairsReviews maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activitiesInspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standardsSupport the facilities food safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired resultsExhibits sound and accurate judgment and includes appropriate people in decision-making processFollows instructions, responds to management directionWorks with Plant Engineer and Maintenance Manager to prioritize and plan work activities and completes work in timely mannerInitiates purchase order for parts and machinesWorks within approved budget and conserves organizational resourcesFollows policies and procedures and observes safety and security proceduresUses equipment and materials properly and reports potentially unsafe conditionsIs consistently at work and on time and commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goalsActively pursues growth and developmental opportunities; seeks out feedback and responds without defensiveness; continuously finds ways to improvePossesses the Skills and Knowledge, and able to meet the Physical Demands and perform in the work environment described in the Work Environment section belowSkills & Knowledge for the
