Position Summary: 

As a Bartender at our prestigious Beach Club, an exclusive private club on the beach, you will be responsible for creating and serving exceptional craft cocktails and beverages to our esteemed members and guests. With your elevated customer service skills and fine dining experience, you will contribute to the upscale atmosphere and provide an unforgettable bar experience for our discerning clientele.

Responsibilities:

1. Beverage Preparation and Service:
   • Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality craft cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, following established recipes and techniques.
   • Create innovative and visually appealing cocktails, incorporating seasonal ingredients and creative presentations.
   • Provide expert recommendations on beverage selections, considering individual preferences and flavor profiles.
   • Ensure the accurate and efficient dispensing of alcoholic beverages, adhering to legal drinking age requirements and responsible service practices.
2. Customer Service Excellence:
   • Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, engaging in friendly and knowledgeable conversations.
   • Provide personalized attention and cater to individual preferences, ensuring a memorable bar experience.
   • Offer guidance and suggestions on beverage pairings, tasting notes, and menu items, elevating the overall dining experience.
   • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and attentively.
3. Bar Operations and Inventory Management:
   • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including equipment, glassware, and supplies.
   • Monitor and manage inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed and minimizing waste.
   • Collaborate with the management team to develop and update beverage menus, incorporating seasonal and trending offerings.
   • Follow standard operating procedures for cash handling, including accurate billing and recording of sales transactions.
4. Knowledge and Expertise:
   • Stay informed about current beverage trends, mixology techniques, and industry developments.
   • Possess a deep understanding of fine wines, spirits, and cocktails, including their origins, flavor profiles, and appropriate glassware.
   • Provide recommendations and suggestions for expanding the beverage selection and enhancing the bar program.
   • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal laws pertaining to alcohol service and safety.
5. Collaboration and Teamwork:
   • Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless communication and a cohesive guest experience.
   • Assist in training and mentoring new bar staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge of the Beach Club's standards.
   • Support fellow team members during peak business hours, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a bartender in an upscale restaurant, fine dining establishment, or luxury hotel.
• Extensive knowledge of craft cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, along with the ability to create innovative and visually appealing presentations.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences to discerning clientele.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with guests and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Proficiency in handling cash transactions and utilizing point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices and legal drinking age requirements.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the Beach Club's operational schedule.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift)
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including cold, heat, humidity, wind, and occasional rain
• Ability to lift and carry trays, food, and beverage items weighing up to 25–30 pounds
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and twist throughout the shift
• Ability to navigate stairs, docks, and uneven and wet surfaces safely
• Strong stamina to maintain a high level of energy in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to tolerate exposure to sun, waterfront elements, and seasonal temperature changes
• Able to carry food items across the sand if needed.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, plates, and POS systems efficiently
• Clear vision and hearing to communicate effectively with guests and team members in a lively, open-air setting
• Ability to maintain balance while carrying multiple items in crowded or high-traffic areas
