    About the Role & Team:


    The eBay Design team is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Design Program Manager with amazing leadership skills to define and drive key initiatives and design process innovation for our financial services experiences.

    The team has a hybrid work model that allows you to work where you live with offices in Seattle, San Francisco, Portland, New York City, Austin and San Jose.

    Our Design Program Managers have deep expertise in optimizing user-centered design processes and are engaged in every step of the process from conceptualizing concepts, testing prototypes, defining outcomes, scoping releases, design iterations, engineering collaboration, releasing to the market and tracking the results.

    As a Senior Staff Design Program Manager leader, you will leading all aspects of the work happening in many areas of the eBay Financial Services space.

    This includes the Buyer and Seller experiences pertaining to the cart and checkout process, tax, global currencies, policies and protections (e.g. returns, fraud, etc.).

    A global approach is important for ensuring platform-level systems and capabilities are designed into every aspect of the work we produce.

    You will be responsible for setting direction, managing the objectives and key results and collaborating with Designers, Product Managers, Business and Engineering partners to ensure our platform consistently meets an ever-higher bar of quality, innovation, and performance.

    Success depends on the ability to achieve goals and deliver results on time.

    What You Will Accomplish:
    Leadership

    – demonstrate leadership by setting direction, optimizing, troubleshooting and course-correcting so our design team can do what they do best which results in high quality end-to-end customer experiences

    Delivery Execution

    – ensure the team is driving toward the right outcomes and delivering on time by owning key timelines, roadmaps, execution plans, managing backlogs and effectively communicating status/results across orgs

    Team-building

    - work with global eBay product team partners (such as Product Managers, Engineering leaders and developers, Marketing and Business owners) to seek out ways to continuously help our teams be more effective and increase job satisfaction

    Design Ops

    – drive the use of a common set of tools that are used to track, prioritize and rank the work that needs to be performed so it remains in sync with all partners across Design, Product and Engineering decisions

    Cross-org agility

    – being successful requires working across a wide variety of internal and external teams and delivering a plan that represents the needs of UX, Content and Research across the Design team

    Culture and Inclusion

    – demonstrate leadership through building a great work environment, establishing a supportive culture and creating an inclusive space for everyone to do their very best work and have a lot of fun along the way


    What You Will Bring:
    10+ years' experience as a Design Program Manager, Technical Program/Product Manager with a track record of leadership, execution and vision

    Experience leading product design teams that build for scale (multiple platforms and markets)

    Experience designing, building and delivering commerce, financial service, payments and protection-related services

    Experience driving the scaling of product design for both creative quality and product efficiency/engagement

    Experience using project management systems such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, other similar systems to manage cross-org releases and workloads

    Excellent project management, communication and organizational skills

    The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

    $168,400 - $262,900

    Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.

    The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).

    Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

    If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
