    Summary This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of workplace safety, quality data entry, and product quality programs that meet federal, state, and customer standards.

    This position will work at the Minden Farm location.

    Responsibilities In this role, you will:

    Manage the daily lab functions to ensure product is within acceptable standardsOversee and execute analytical lab testing of product samplesInspect raw materials, lab equipment calibrations, and sanitationMonitor product quality in laboratory to report quality related incidentsCollaborate with lab employees to meet quality parametersTrack field, lot, and storage numbers for product traceabilityComplete training programs for lab team membersMaintain lab organization and supplies through inventory trackingOrganization of paper copy records into easily traceable bindersManage day-to-day employee scheduling including timesheet approvalResponsible for completing weekly safety meetingsDesired Qualifications Work experience in an agricultural setting2+ years' work experience in a lab or quality controlProficiency with Windows programsDemonstrated ability to lead, train, and communicate wellAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.

    Ability to compute percent.
    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

    Able to work in a variety of environmentsA valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one and pass vehicle insurance verificationFully Bilingual in English/Spanish, both written and verbal strongly preferredPhysical Demands Walking and standing for long periods of timeBending, stooping, and kneelingExpected Hours of Work Typical week is 40-55 hours per week, including some weekends with occasional hours outside this window during peak times (Planting/Harvest).Work Authorization In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
