    Job Summary:

    The Clinical Therapist Outpatient and Enhanced Outpatient is responsible for providing outpatient psychotherapy at The Providence Center and provide community based therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and their families.

    Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, counseling, screening, case management, client education, referral, treatment planning, and consultation for clients in the program.

    Perform a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of assigned consumers.

    Apply knowledge of Psychiatric Diagnosis (DSM V)

    Ensure the quality and timely completion of Health Information Services (HIS) and other required documentation of supervisee(s).

    Perform crisis intervention, counseling, screening, case management, client education, referral, treatment planning, and consultation for clients.

    Assess clinical emergencies, including suicide and danger to others.

    Provide individual, group, and family mental health and/or substance abuse therapy.

    Collaborate with other providers, agencies, and individuals in the consumers' network of care.

    Maintain knowledge and familiarity of mental health and/or substance abuse and other related community agencies.

    Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the development and implementation of therapeutic services.

    Communicate with various local agencies and individuals, as well as with Center staff.

    Perform record keeping in accordance with Health Information Services and other Center requirements.

    Attend clinical trainings for CEUs and to assist with supervisions.

    Participate in the education of other Center staff.

    Attend mandatory inservice trainings and other trainings required for renewal of licensure.

    Maintain cooperative relationships with Center staff, consumers, community agencies and the public.

    Serve on appropriate Center committees.

    Provide mental health consultation to other community agencies.

    Master degree and working towards Independent licensure or independent licensure.

    Bilingual preferred.
