    Job DescriptionThis job involves the management and coordination of people and instrumentation to keep preparation and analytical work smoothly flowing through several lab areas.

    ResponsibilitiesTrain, develop, motivate, and evaluate a competent workforce in cooperation with the management team.
    Overall responsibility to ensure that production targets and turnaround time goals are met.
    Ensure that the team meets safety, quality, and cost control objectives.
    Coordinate resources between groups.
    Provide technical oversight and help with troubleshooting/problem resolution as appropriate.
    Oversee communications with other shifts.
    Perform other duties as requested.

    QualificationsBS/BA in a directly related science field or an equivalent combination of experience and coursework.1 to 5 years of related experience in an analytical testing laboratory.

    Demonstrated management or supervisory skills in a laboratory environment.
    Knowledge of standard lab procedures and instrumentation.
    Able to work well in a production team environment with strong organizational skills.
    Consistent attention to detail and verbal/written communication skills.
    Computer skills with laboratory LIMS and instrumentation software.
