    Environmental Engineer, Geologist, Hydrogeologist or Scientist

    to join our team in the

    Philadelphia region . Youwill work closely with a team of engineers and scientists on technically challenging and exciting projects.

    This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged, contribute to project outcomes, interact routinely with project Principals and clients, and is designed to support your professional growth.

    You will also have the opportunity to work with our team to grow Sanborn Head's practice in the Mid-Atlantic region.

    Essential Functions-What You Will Do
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     Perform environmental investigations at sites with soil, groundwater, sediment, and soil vapor contamination.

    Strong data analytical skills, including Advanced Microsoft Office skills and/or practical experience with programming languages (e.g., R, Python) are a plus.

    Collect, interpret, and analyze various types of field and laboratory data.
    Perform environmental site characterization assessments.
    Work with the team in developing recommendations for environmental strategies, remedial alternatives, and remediation designs.
    Contribute to geochemical modeling and forensic evaluations.
    Collect, interpret, and analyze various types of geologic, hydrogeologic, and geochemical field and laboratory data.
    Conduct groundwater hydraulic and contaminant transport calculations or computer modeling exercises.
    Support remedial design and assist in the implementation of treatability studies and implementation of remediation systems.
    Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, presentations, permit applications, and bid documents.
    Assist in the evaluation of sustainable remedial options and remedy resiliency.
    Support in the collection, analysis, and reporting of information in support of sustainability demonstrations.

    Competencies-What We Are Looking For

    Interested candidates should have 1-5 years relevant experience and a MS or PhD Degree in environmental/chemical/civil engineering, alternative degrees in geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, or water resources will also be considered.

    Strong sense of curiosity and interest in continuous learning opportunities.
    Possess or be working toward Professional Licensure. (e.g. PE, PG, LSRP).

    Ability to demonstrate a strong record of academic achievement or professional experience in relevant areas such as contaminated site investigations, remediation, and/or preparation of plans and specifications.

    Experience in field investigations of soil, groundwater, sediment and/or vapor intrusion for environmental investigations. Experience leading specific field tasks, analyzing field data, and preparing reports or presentations from the field data.
    Familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS and databases is beneficial.
    Strong organizational and time management skills combined with the flexibility to work with shifting priorities.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Work well as a team member, with a collaborative communication style.

    Position Type-What You Should Know
    Full-time position.

    Schedule:
    Monday through Friday with flexible daily hours.
    Located in Horsham, PA.
    Some travel to project sites and other offices.
