    Position Summary:

    Under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain this role is responsible for purchasing, warehousing, and inventory operations. This role is tasked with establishing and improving supply chain processes and standards while reducing supply chain risk and cost. This position will be responsible for coordination across Versiti.

    Responsibilities:
    • Hires, manages, develops and retains outstanding talent. Establishes clear goals and objectives for staff to meet business targets.
    • Develops and implements metrics reflective of targets and reviews them regularly with the team to monitor performance versus goals. Assigns ownership and holds staff accountable.
    • Responsible for developing, leading and executing purchasing and warehousing strategies across affiliates
    • Responsible for working capital management, including the right inventory at the right places. Includes material planning, ordering activities, and minimizing inventory expiration in compliance with standards/regulations.
    • Manage inventory accuracy across all warehousing locations and maintaining all material master information within the ERP system.
    • Responsible for identifying supply chain risk and developing strategies to mitigate such risk at a cost benefit to Versiti. Lead projects to reduce or eliminate high risk in the supply chain.
    • Develop strategy and maintain processes with Supplier Quality to manage SCARs, return to vendor events, and supplier development.
    • Manage purchasing team to find product alternatives within supplier portfolios to cover product discontinuance and/or chronic supply disruptions.
    • Partners with Finance to monitor financial performance and Quality to measure supplier performance and share it with staff. Reports performance to key metrics monthly
    • Partner and communicate with all stakeholders to ensure customer service requirements are met and any delays/shortages are communicated
    • Partner with Sourcing on dual and alternate sourcing efforts with operations and quality and prioritize initiatives based on risk assessment
    • Be a champion of continuous improvement across supply chain and Versiti. Collaborate with internal (and external) partners to reduce costs and improve system efficiency
    • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
    • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
    • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures
    Qualifications:

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree supply chain management, logistics or a business related field required
    • Master's Degree Business Administration preferred

    Experience

    • 4-6 years Purchasing and/or Sourcing experience preferred
    • 4-6 years Leadership responsibilities including leading teams required
    • 1-3 years Warehouse and Inventory Management experience preferred

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Strong project management skills including leadership of cross functional teams required
    • Detailed knowledge of purchasing and inventory/warehouse management required
    • Ability to gather and analyze data accurately with high attention to detail required
    • Strong hands on team management skills preferred
    • Ability to build strong, effective personal relationships and influence others required
    • Solid judgment and decision making skills required
    • Excellent customer service required
    • Ability to communicate professionally with multiple levels of the organization and vendors required

    Tools and Technology

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP (Oracle preferred) required
    • Proficient in Micrsoft Excel, Access and ERP/MMIS software. preferred
