    Crain Construction is a trusted, well-established Nashville-based commercial construction general contractor. In our 90 years of business, we have built thousands of structures throughout Middle Tennessee and the southeast.

    We can build almost anything, but we specialize in commercial construction projects, including ground-up, renovations, multi-story hospitality, retail, industrial, healthcare, education, and multi-use structures.

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

    Project Engineer

    to join our growing team.

    This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field to kick-start their career in the thriving construction industry.


    While this position reports directly to the VP of Operations, it is under the direction of the Project Manager and Assistant PM and will work closely with the project team.

    This position will be onsite in Nashville, TN.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects.
    Assist in project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project schedules using industry-standard software and tools.
    Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with construction plans, specifications, and quality standards.
    Assist in coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
    Support project teams in maintaining accurate project records, reports, and documentation.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field or 3 years of related experience.
    Knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and project management principles.
    Proficiency in MS Office suite; experience with Procore or other construction management software is a strong plus.
    Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
    Internship experience in the construction industry is advantageous.
