    Description

    1st Class Electrician

    Location: Pascagoula, MS

    Hutco Branch: Moss Point, MS

    Rate of Pay: $59.04 daily per-diem for those who qualify and $29.71-$30.71 per hour.

    Description: Electricians are responsible for the layout, installation, and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment as well as the ships power. To succeed in this role, electricians must utilize a variety of hand and power tools, test equipment, and possess a working knowledge of blue prints, drawings, and schematics.

    • Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience in the commercial, industrial, or marine electrical field
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • 1 year of shipboard experience in sonar, radar, power, internal communication, navigation, etc. is essential
    • Able to read marine blue prints and work from standard and metric specifications
    • Wiring hook up and fiber optics experience necessary
    • Able to work any shift
    • Must pass a drug screen (HFT) and background check
