    Position Summary

    The Human Resources Coordinator works closely with the HR team to provide support for a variety of HR functions across the Engineered Building Solutions (EBS) segment.

    This role will have a strong presence in Recruitment, Wellness, and Employee Engagement activities and will be required to travel periodically to EBS facilities.


    Responsibilities

    Support various HR functions across EBS:

    o Recruiting:

    assist the Recruiter with screening & interviewing candidates when volume is high or they are out of the office, schedule interviews, create or update job descriptions & interview guides.


    o Hiring & Onboarding:

    partner with Production to hire and convert temporary employees; assist with coordination of onboarding all employees, including completion of employment eligibility documentation; send new hire announcements; partner with the Recruiter to conduct new hire orientations.


    o Employee Relations:
    Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR contact. Assist with investigations and resolution of employee issues when necessary.


    • Lead Wellness and Employee Engagement for Engineered Building Solutions (EBS).

    o Wellness:
    Coordinate Open Enrollment meetings & associated activities, promote corporate wellness activities, coordinate wellness events for each location.

    o Engagement:
    Lead peer recognition program, coordinate service awards, organize and promote employee events.


    • Assist with coordination of employee communication across all EBS sites by updating electronic systems (UKG, Yodek, social media sites) regularly, creating presentations for employee meetings, and attending meetings or employee events.
    • Perform exit and stay interviews.
    • Create and run reports for HR management and run periodic audits of HRIS data to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
    • Maintain HR files, ensure compliance with records retention policy, and assist 3rd party auditors with HR information requests for SOX compliance.
    • Perform other duties as needed.

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Knowledge of employment laws and the ability to interpret and explain company policies and procedures to employees.
    • Familiarity applicant tracking software and best practices for recruitment.
    • Able to communicate effectively and professionally with all parties.
    • Able to handle confidential data with a high level of professionalism and know when to refer or escalate employee issues.
    • Able to enter data accurately, perform mathematical calculations, and analyze data. Excel experience and the ability to manipulate and analyze data using pivot tables and v-lookups is preferred.

    Experience

    • 2 or more years of experience in a Human Resources Assistant, Coordinator or similar role.
    • Experience utilizing HRIS and applicant tracking software, and MS Office to perform HR related tasks is required.

    Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred.
    • HR certification is a plus.

    Other Requirements

    • Physical- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
    • Travel- this role requires occasional travel.
