    We are an IT consultation firm looking for a full-time IT consultant/technician. 1 year of IT experience is recommended - computer repair and be able to perform any task required of a particular assignment is a must. You must be punctual, reliable, honest, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. YOU MUST LIVE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

    Our office is located in Huntington Beach, CA, but this position requires visiting clients' homes and business offices within Orange and LA counties. Below is a list of what we do and what you will be learning and implementing in your skills:

    General Computer Knowledge

    • Build a computer/RAID configuration
    • Replace computer hardware (RAM/hard drive/power supply/video card/fan/CD and/or DVD drive)
    • General troubleshooting of boot issues/slowness issues/hardware issues
    • General computer maintenance
    • Data recovery/data transfer

    Virus and Malware Removal

    Malwarebytes/Bit Defender/Webroot

    Operating Systems/Installation

    • Operating system installation and configuration (Windows 10/11/Mac OS)
    • MAC knowledge is required
    • Must be able to install MAC operating system
    • Time machine backup and restore

    Hardware support

    • Synology NAS configuration
    • Dismantle laptops/desktops
    • Change hard drives/RAM/CPU fans/motherboards
    • General hardware diagnostics/testing/troubleshooting
    • RAID configuration/setup/troubleshooting

    Remote Access Support

    • Return client phone calls and troubleshoot issues over the phone
    • Set up remote access
    • Train clients on software and hardware operation
    • Team Viewer
    • Kaseya RMM
    • Anydesk
    • Splashtop
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • Sharepoint
    • Google Drive
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Sharepoint

    Networking

    • Domain administration/Active Directory/domain setup/configuration
    • VPN configuration/setup/troubleshooting
    • Ubiquiti device configuration/setup/management/virtual LAN configuration
    • Internet access troubleshooting and repair
    • Wireless router installation and configuration
    • Wireless range extender installation and configuration
    • Wireless access point installation and configuration
    • Network configuration (setting up Windows shares/mapped network drives/login scripts)
    • Must be able to make Cat5/Cat6 cable correctly (basic cable running)
    • Wireless printer installation and configuration

    Software and Email Support

    • Software installation (MS Office/Adobe Acrobat/QuickBooks/Quicken/various third-party software)
    • iTunes troubleshooting/configuration
    • Must be an expert in MS Outlook (PST file configuration/POP/IMAP account setup/PST file troubleshooting/Exchange server setup inside MS Outlook)
    • Mobile device configuration: email/apps (iPhone/Android)
