    SUMMARY


    The Social Media Manager will manage the Revolution social accounts, maintain and oversee brand voice in all posts and messaging, monitor brand mentions and interactions and oversee all content posting on Revolution social channels.

    The manager will execute social media strategy to maximize reach and growth of our overall audiences and use our platforms to meet organizational goals, while identifying new opportunities across social and digital platforms.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Oversee posting and social interactions across all Revolution social media platforms, approving copy and content as needed and managing two direct reports who facilitate with posting, monitoring and fan engagement

    Write copy and oversee the copywriting process for all social media posts on Revolution channels, approve copy written by the Social and Digital Coordinator, assist the web and email marketing teams with copy and coordinate any approvals with necessary departments.

    Serve as the gatekeeper for content that appears on Revolution social channels, watching and reading all content to ensure it fits sponsorship requirements and is up to brand standards.

    Collaborate with other departments throughout the organization for an integrated social media effort and to help leverage the Revolution accounts to promote internal initiatives, including Academy, ticket sales and community events.

    Work with Revolution players in posting team and player content to player social media channels, and identify content opportunities with players

    Manage two direct reports, helping grow our audience with collaborations and partnerships, as well as search engine optimization and promoted content.

    Manage a social media calendar for Revolution, including milestones, sponsorship fulfilment and work within the social media department, as well as communications and the rest of the digital department to execute the calendar.

    Oversee storylines and content from media availabilities and community events, meeting with other members of the content team to brainstorm stories and execute in a timely and relevant manner, help produce stories in collaboration with a video editor or writer and appear on camera as needed.

    Stay in constant communication with the sponsorship team on posting schedule as well as opportunities and risks for posts as it relates to partners.

    Work with the digital marketing department to assist in the launch paid social campaigns.
    Serve as liaison to the public relations department as it pertains to player transactions, press releases and media schedule.

    Monitor Revolution mentions across many social media platforms looking for opportunities to engage with fans and/or repair damage to threats on our brand.

    Manipulate graphics templates in Photoshop, use Premiere Rush for quick editing projects to ensure content is properly cut, watermarked or end slated and use various mobile apps to add graphic overlays before posting content.

    Monitor and present relevant data, trends, successes, failures, etc.
    Collect iPhone content on the field, in the community, at practice and at events.
    Travel to Revolution away matches.
    Special projects and assignments as business dictates
    Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    The social media manager oversees two full-time Social Media Coordinators


    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelors Degree in Communications or Sports Management
    3 to 5 years of relevant experience
    A proven track record contributing to or managing a brands social presence across platforms, including experience with partners, customers, fans and/or agencies
    A passion for social media, the internet and industry trends and excellent knowledge of platforms, their back-end posting studios and how to optimize content by platform and audience
    Strong interpersonal skills and experience working cross-departmentally and helping reach organizational goals
    Exemplary writing skills, with strong copywriting and understanding of engaging copy and optimization
    Attention to detail and high-level editing and proofreading skills
    Trustworthy, with good foresight, problem solving skills and ability to quickly assess risk and make appropriate decisions
    Organized, detail oriented, able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and work on tight deadlines and in a live environment
    Creative and highly motivated individual, with experience with Photoshop, Premiere Rush, Spark and the Adobe Creative Suite
    Strong soccer knowledge and ability to work with game statistics and storylines
    Good time and people management to navigate the 24/7 nature of sports and social media
    Ability to delegate projects, provide guidance and oversight and manage a team
    Ability to understand audiences, identify storylines, engaging photos and popular content
