    Axient is currently looking for a dedicated System Safety Engineer to join their team in El Segundo, California.

    At Axient, you will play a key role in supporting the Air Force's acquisition of cutting-edge Military Satellite Communications systems, ensuring our nation's warfighters have access to secure and reliable communication worldwide.

    What you will do:
    • Support the MSEIT System Safety Government Team in evaluating ESOH risks and providing system safety support for Space Flight Worthiness certification.
    • Conduct safety risk assessments in line with MSEIT Program and Space Force guidelines, and prepare necessary documentation for review.
    • Prepare various documents, including the Programmatic Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE) and Space Debris Assessment Report/End of Life Plan for space vehicles.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering.
    • 1+ years of experience in Systems Safety engineering, including familiarity with military standards and regulations.
    • Active Secret clearance (or higher) is a must.

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • BS in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science.
    • MS degree.
    • Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP).
    • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
    • Experience with MILSATCOM programs like AEHF, EPS, WGS, and FAB-T terminal.
