    RN Regional Float Acute Care

    As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.


    Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association; Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation


    Responsibilities:


    • Promotes the use of evidence-based practice through protocols and procedures.
    • Assesses patient's status through interview, observation, physical assessment.

    Develops an individualized plan of care using a collaborative approach with patient/family health care team. Uses appropriate interventions identified in plan achieve expected outcomes system evaluates documents progress ongoing shift modifies based evaluation needs changes condition completes required documentation including chart reports shares clinical teaching response learning others performs bedside lab testing associated quality compliance medical providers hospital policies utilizes resources additional when necessary analyzes situations systematic way acts obtain correct problems recognizes assistance utilizing consultation timely manner prioritizes work based conditions assignment interruptions identifies utilizes solve problems or needs collaborates tasks activities from admission discharge meet identified outcomes provides goal-focused report advocates physicians on behalf ensures safety environment following policy/procedures adhering national goals consults specialized provide education actively participates data collection analysis problem gives input process improvements satisfaction assures provided consistent standards practices initiatives undertaken unit/hospital works identifying opportunities improvement care/patient satisfaction implements Performance Improvement initiatives promptly efficiently follows requests/needs anticipates
