Beulah HDFC is seeking a dedicated Tenant Engagement Specialist to join our team. This role is essential for providing comprehensive support to tenants, assisting with housing-related financial applications, managing payment plans, and maintaining effective communication to ensure a positive living experience for all residents. The Tenant Engagement Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for tenants, assisting with one-shot deals, government fund applications, lease renewals, and facilitating monthly tenant townhall meetings to foster community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tenant Support & Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, providing guidance and support for housing-related matters.
- Assist tenants in completing one-shot deals and other government funding applications.
- Facilitate outreach efforts to ensure tenants are informed about available financial assistance programs and services.
- Payment Plan Coordination:
- Work with tenants to create and manage payment plans for overdue rent and other financial obligations.
- Monitor payment plan progress and follow up with tenants to ensure adherence to agreed-upon terms.
- Leasing & Documentation:
- Assist tenants with the lease renewal process, ensuring timely execution of lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant files, including lease agreements and correspondence.
- In-Person Meetings:
- Meet with tenants at their apartments to discuss payment plans, financial assistance, and other housing-related concerns.
- Monthly Townhalls:
- Plan, organize, and facilitate monthly townhall meetings with tenants to provide updates, address concerns, and encourage community engagement.
- Create an agenda for each meeting, ensuring tenants' questions and concerns are addressed.
- Serve as a liaison between management and tenants during these meetings, fostering an open, communicative environment.
- Administrative Support:
- Maintain records of tenant interactions, applications, and payment agreements.
- Prepare and submit reports to management regarding tenant engagement, payment plan status, and the outcomes of townhall meetings.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Experience working in affordable housing or property management is a plus.
- Knowledge of government assistance programs, one-shot deals, and tenant payment systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive tenant information.
- Proficiency with Google Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong public speaking skills and experience organizing group meetings or events.
