    Description

    Category Insights Analyst

    Various projects for food and beverage organizations

    Overview:

    Seeking a Category Insights Consultant to take charge of consumer analytics within the brand marketing team. Collaborate with Sales Analysts and other departments to shape sales strategies, enhance business performance, and fuel growth through data-driven insights. Source insights from revenue & POS data, primary and secondary market research.

    Responsibilities:

    • Be the go-to expert across channels, supporting brand team for growth in key focus areas.
    • Utilize data from Nielsen and other partners to drive actionable business intelligence for revenue and profit.
    • Analyze consumption and POS data to understand consumer and customer trends for marketing and sales strategies.
    • Examine business unit performance, conduct post-promotional analysis, manage data sources, and communicate critical market information.
    • Develop and provide standard reporting and ad hoc analysis for brand marketing team.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
    • 5+ years experience in analyst role, preferably in sales or marketing in CPG
    • Experience with data providers such as IRI, Circana, Nielsen, Numerator
    • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills, VBA knowledge a plus
    • Proficient in managing large data sets across platforms and translating data into action plans
    • Ability to perform sales ROI analyses
