    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Major Graded Area (MGA) Inspector and a Lead, command headquarters civil engineer inspections conducting inspections for the Inspector General under authority of the Commander, Air Force Materiel Command.



    Duties


    1. Major Graded Area (MGA) Inspector, Investigator and Program Analyst. Plans, coordinates and conducts surveys; interviews; continual evaluation; and virtual/on-site inspections under the Air Force Inspection System construct.
    2. Conducts on-site, multi-event, in-depth inspections using appropriate checklists, DoD, Air Force, command and local policies governing installation and mission support requirements for the DoD and Air Force under the authority of DAFI 90-302, The Inspection System of the Department of the Air Force.
    3. Conducts assigned mission planning and mission support tasks in preparation for MAJCOM/IG inspections.
    4. Serves as the program manager for inspection policy and oversight of assigned civil engineering and other base operating support subject area policies and associated programs to include unit readiness, equipment, facilities, services.
    5. Performs as Major Graded Area(s) (MGA) inspection lead for Commander Inspection Programs.
    6. Develops and prepares a variety of correspondence and other documentation, such as formal letters, position papers, reports, staff studies, staff summary packages, briefings, charts, bullet background papers, etc.
