We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Specialist - Top Secret clearance in the Springfield, VA location and this position is required to be onsite
This position requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
Responsibilities What You'll Do The Security Specialist assist the Security Support Lead in the execution of all security related functions
The Security Specialist will be responsible for functions related to the following security areas: physical security, industrial security, information security, personnel security, and cyber security
The Security Specialist will possess knowledge on collateral, SCI, and SAP security regulations
Responsibilities The Security Specialist must have experience in solving DoD and DoN security problems
Shall have demonstrated experience in managing special access programs, insider threat programs, and security education/training awareness programs
The Security Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative security support
The Security Specialist will be responsible for tracking memoranda of agreements, transition plans, co-utilization agreements, classifications guides, and other security documentation as required
The Security Specialist will assist in conducting facility security self-reviews annually and providing corrective action plans as necessary
The Security Specialist will establish and maintain an electronic database for all program facilities and personnel
Subject matter expertise is highly desired in the use of the Security Information Management Systems (SIMS) software application
Qualifications Position Qualifications Shall have 2 or more years of security specialist experience
Shall have 2 or more years of experience using Microsoft Office application suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project)
Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree
Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
Security Clearance Requirements This position will require U.S
Citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance
This position will require the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
The position requires to be onsite due to the classified nature/location of the program
