    The NISC IV program at Leidos is looking for an Industrial Hygienist The selected candidate will:
    + Takes effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state Occupational Safety and Health standard provisions of any labor agreement, ensuring that all required records are prepared and maintained. + Participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections and in any procedures that may follow a citation. + Investigates, prepares reports, and forwards documentation to customer as required. + Reports on injuries and fatalities. + Conducts safe work procedures training courses.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    Specific tasks will include:
    + This position will support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Western Service Area (WSA) Environmental, Occupational Safety & Health (EOSH) Program by providing Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) support to EOSH Program Support Center (EPSC) within the Western Service Area (WSA) EOSH Support Operations Group (ESOG). + The candidate will support the customer's Asbestos, Lead, Occupational Safety & Health Compliance, and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) programs. + The candidate will participate in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) investigations related to potential accidental releases, mishaps, and employee complaints, as requested by the Government Technical Interpreter (GTI). + The candidate will participate in Indoor Air Quality events, investigations, and water-intrusion investigations that led to full scale mold abatement projects.

    This is a 100% Full Time Remote Work at Home position. Strong Preference for candidate to be living in Los Angeles, California OR Las Vegas, Nevada, OR_ within _the Western Service Area locations (i.e. California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming)

    Required Qualifications:
    + Must be a current Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). + Working knowledge and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office and MS PowerPoint. + The position requires the candidate to travel approximately 50% (sometimes outside of normal work hours) within the Western Service Area. + Ability to obtain and/or maintain Public Trust Security clearance. + Bachelors degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Masters degree with 6 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered or accepted in lieu of degree.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    + Able to be fit-tested and wear respirator and be enrolled in Respiratory Protection Program (if hired). + Capable of instructing IH Training (i.e., Asbestos O&M initial and refresher classes, Asbestos Train-the
    • Trainer, Respiratory Protection Program, and Hearing Conservation Program [i.
    e., Standard Threshold Shift [STS] training for all WSA ATO employees, etc.]). + Assist with developing an in-person/virtual mold training for managers. + Highly developed presentation skills, comfortable conducting training classes, self-motivated and proactive team player, and excellent written and oral communication skills.     Pay Range:

    Pay Range $87, $157,450.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.

    Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
