Job summary
Serve as a Detention Officer at the SF Adult Detention Center.Perform various tasks including supervising inmates, preparing food trays for service and feeding inmates,
ensuring sanitary standards are maintained,
monitoring well-being of inmates.
Responsibilities:
- Receives searches fingerprints issues facility uniforms classifies housing of arriving inmates
- Confirms clears sends locates on warrants Prepares escorts inmates for transport monitors inmate in court takes into custody court committed defendants
- Picks up mail inspects prior to distributing to inmates Writes reports documenting incidents places items into evidence Monitors directly video monitoring system Accesses information from computer system pulls records for court assesses records Maintains updates jail counter answers questions both person phone Documents citizen complaints using applicable departmental procedures.
