    Description

    The Process Engineering Specialist role combines insurance business knowledge, process examination, and data analysis, to suggest and implement improvement initiatives across PRS. You will leverage your process-driven, analytical, communication, coaching, and technical skills to identify, define, and implement process reengineering, automation, and future state transformation use cases.

    In This Role you will:

  • Conduct discovery, document current state processes, and identify areas of significant opportunity throughout PRS teams (including underwriting, operations, risk consulting, product, .
  • Leverage analysis, feedback channels, and process metrics to identify areas of improvement that drive simplified products, create repeatable processes, streamline/simplify systems, improve the customer experience, and reduce issues and pain points. Help identify opportunities to optimize resource throughput and capacity utilization.
  • Create business process documentation (mapping, job-aids, to understand process steps, interdependencies, and applications used to complete transactions.
  • Develop and present continuous improvement initiatives to stakeholders and business leaders that are compelling, motivate, drive change, create value, and drive buy-in.
  • Coordinate with the process engineering team, business owners, IT development teams, and other relevant stakeholders to define requirements, design, develop, test, and deploy solutions as needed.
  • Support implementation and change management of solutions within the business; Communicate project status, issues, and risks to internal and external teams on a regular basis.
  • Foster strong relationships with Sales, Underwriting, Operations, and Claim's functions to collect stakeholder input and ensure the adoption of optimized business processes.
  • Assist with establishing consistent standards and practices within the Process Engineering team and across PRS.

  • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and a 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Personal Lines insurance experience is a plus
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Yellow Belt, Lean, Change Management or equivalent training/ certification.
  • Management consulting experience or experience leading or participating in process discovery, process analysis, process design, or process optimization is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft suite (specifically PowerPoint, Visio, MS Excel)
  • Agile, Waterfall, or other project management/environment experience
