As the pivotal coordinator of our clinical nutrition team, comprising chief clinical dietitians, clinical dietitians, dietetic students, and infant nutrition formula lab technicians, you'll play a crucial role in fulfilling our organization's vision and mission. Your daily duties encompass a spectrum of responsibilities, including program development, staff training, and educational initiatives.     Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Manage Food and Nutrition Service department staff, including hiring, training, evaluations, and corrective actions
    • Facilitate regular staff meetings and engagement initiatives for effective communication and team morale
    • Foster staff development through coaching, mentoring, and promoting professional certifications
    • Ensure accurate maintenance of payroll and attendance records within deadlines
    • Monitor and adjust staff schedules to optimize productivity and minimize overtime
    • Supervise dietitians, lab technicians, and dietetic students to ensure policy adherence and patient service excellence
    • Standardize clinical nutrition operations and conduct training for regulatory compliance
    • Perform medical nutrition therapy assessments and develop care plans for patients system-wide
    • Participate in interdisciplinary activities for effective patient care planning
    • Educate and train staff, including dietitians and physicians, for continuous learning
    • Lead clinical quality improvement initiatives to meet regulatory standards
    • Collaborate with IT to optimize nutrition documentation systems and troubleshoot software issues
    • Participate in strategic planning and goal setting to align departmental objectives with organizational strategies across all locations.

    • Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4pm

    • Methodist Hospital- 8303 Dodge St, Omaha, NE

    Salary:

    • Starting salary of $67,184 and increases based on work history/experience

    Job Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Nutrition and Dietetics or institutional management
    • Must obtain master's degree in Business Administration, Nutrition or Dietetics within two years of date of hire

    Experience:

    • 3 years previous supervisory experience required, preferably as a Clinical Nutrition Manager
    • 5 years previous clinical experience with patients throughout the aging continuum required
    • Experience in community and large teaching hospital environments preferred
    • One year experience in a multifacility system preferred

    License/Certifications:

    • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by Commission on Dietetic Registration required
    • Licensed Medical Nutrition Therapist (LMNT) in the State of Nebraska required at assigned facilities
    • Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Iowa required at assigned facilities
    • Valid and current driver's license required
    • All required licenses and registration must be obtained or transferred within 60 days of hire
    • Advanced specialty certification in nutrition (Nutrition Support, Pediatric, Renal, Oncology, Gerontological) as certified by the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition or the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred
    • Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and/or American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition membership preferred
