- Engage with prospects and existing customers to understand their needs and align our solutions to their strategic objectives.
- Interface with teaming partners to assist in the development of cohesive, opportunity-focused compelling teams in pursuit of opportunities
- Identify potential business opportunities within the DoD sector and initiate engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to assist in the development of compelling proposals that meet the specific needs of the DoD and related clients.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments with prospective and current clients to understand their unique challenges and requirements.
- Work with technical teams to tailor our technology-centered solutions to meet these specific needs, ensuring relevance and value addition.
- Work closely with the Senior Capture Manager and Chief Growth Officer to align business development strategies with capture plans.
- Coordinate with the sales team, client operations personnel, and the proposal team to ensure a cohesive approach to market penetration and client management.
- Continuously gather and analyze market intelligence to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development progress, and strategic recommendations to management.
- Proven experience in business development, specifically within the DoD services, cybersecurity, and communications markets.
- Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of related experience selling services/business development is a strong desire.
- Understanding of the technological landscape and emerging trends in these sectors.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining high-value government relationships.
- Experience with DISA is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different functional areas.
- Proficient in Salesforce CRM tools
- Ability to travel for prospect/client meetings, conferences, tradeshows, symposia
- Able to work extended hours and weekends as required
- Must be a US Citizen

Intelligent Waves is seeking a Business Development Executive for our Growth Organization
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is a key role focused on expanding IW's growing footprint in technology-centered solutions within the Department of Defense (DoD) services, cybersecurity, and communications markets
This executive will leverage their experience in these sectors to identify, qualify, and capitalize on new opportunities and help drive corporate growth goals
Employees are required to follow all company and customer site COVID-19 protocols
Responsibilities Market Analysis and Opportunity Development:
Conduct analysis using CRM tools to Identify and Qualify relevant, focused specialized services that IW performs within IW's Core Capabilities:

Provide critical support to the sales team during the negotiation and closing phases of deals as appropriate
