REGISTERED NURSE (RN) FOR 13 WEEK CONTRACT IN SUSQUEHANNA, PA* Local / Travel Contract
_We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Long-Term Care (LTC) facility.

As an LTC RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a long-term care setting.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of residents are met, promoting their overall well-being and enhancing their quality of life.

*$Shifts (40 Hrs. per Week) _(Mixed Shifts, 7a-3p, 3p-11p, & Occasional 11p-7a)_
*Patient Care:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs. Assess resident needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions to promote optimal health outcomes.

* *Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure continuity and consistency of care.

* *Assessment and Documentation:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' health status and document findings accurately and timely in electronic health records. Monitor changes in condition and adjust care plans accordingly.

* *Patient Advocacy:

• Serve as an advocate for residents, ensuring their rights are respected and their preferences are honored

Education and Support:

• Educate residents and their families about healthcare conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Provide emotional support and counseling to residents and families facing difficult decisions or coping with illness.

* *Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents and staff. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys as needed.

* *Team Leadership:

• Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, assisting with training, orientation, and professional development activities. Foster a positive work environment based on trust, respect, and teamwork.

* *Emergency Response:

• Respond effectively to medical emergencies and crisis situations, following established protocols and guidelines. Remain calm under pressure and provide swift, competent care to stabilize residents and prevent further harm.

Basic computer proficiency, including experience with electronic health records.
