    Bressler, Amery & Ross, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, seeks a Litigation Associate for its' Florham Park, NJ office. The Litigation Associate attorney is responsible for assisting and/or managing a caseload involving personal injury defense matters.

    Job responsibilities include:


    • Conduct discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other similar proceedings.


    • Work closely with Principals to develop and revise appropriate legal strategy for discovery, investigation, handling, and case trials and hearings.


    • Provide guidance to clients on legal opinions, rights, and obligations.


    • Remain current with changes in the law; understand a variety of disciplines involved with cases being defended.


    • Outstanding research and analytical skills are critical.


    • Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Education:


    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.


    • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.


    • Admission to the NJ Bar; admitted to the NY Bar is a plus.


    • A minimum of 5 years' litigation attorney experience.


    • Knowledge of business law and specific understanding of the operations and requirements of clients. Experience and ability appropriate to the level of cases being handled.


    • Member in good standing of the state bar(s).


    • Knowledge of state law is essential.


    • Superb creativity, perseverance, cognitive and reasoning abilities.


    • Strong analytical skills used for complex legal issues.


    • Ability to appraise, interpret and apply legal principles and precedents to difficult legal problems;


    • Must be able to concisely and accurately communicate, both orally and in writing.


    • Proficient in conducting legal research.


    • Excellent interpersonal skills.


    • Maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with others, including peers and Principals of the firm.
