    The National Director of Sales is a pivotal role responsible for driving the growth and profitability of sales in the US markets for the company.

    Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, the incumbent will play a crucial role in establishing short and long-term business objectives, developing business plans, policies, and budgets.

    They will oversee the development of sales strategies and distribution networks, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives; they will also ensure execution of those plans.

    A key aspect of this role is to execute strategies, sales initiatives and actively work with distribution in maximizing sales.

    They will represent the company within the business community, serving as the "face" to the distribution network. The Director will be responsible for leading all aspects of the company's US sales team and independent distributors' activities. They will focus on achieving the company's sales and retention targets for each market in which the company competes.
    WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO1. Key Responsibilities Drive Sales Nationally. Provide leadership, development, and performance management for staff.

    Work with other company executives as part of the Executive Management Team to establish short-term objectives and long-range goals, as well as related plans and policies.

    Interact and present sales and marketing presentations/reports and provide status updates on the company's marketing operations to the Board of Directors, shareholders, Senior Leaders, and staff.

    Shape the sales and distribution strategy and anticipate and interpret market changes. Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standard.2.


    Required Skills:
    Execution focused.

    Detailed understanding of the Life Insurance and Supplemental Health business, with prior experience in developing financial or life insurance products and solutions.

    Proven success in driving profitable growth through sales and distribution channels in the life insurance industry.

    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences, including the Board of Directors, employees, regulators, customers, vendors, distribution partners, independent agents, and the general public.

    Proven track record of building and motivating high-performing external sales teams. High emotional intelligence and self-awareness, with the ability to collaborate and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex business environment shaped by constant change and innovation. Hands-on experience in developing and implementing digital and non-digital sales and marketing strategies. Ability to lead through change. Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented work style with good time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of various analytics platforms. Customer-centric thinking.
    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED [Qualifications; see examples below] Bachelor's Degree (4-year degree); master's degree a plus. At least ten (10) years of experience in life insurance operations.

    Knowledge of life insurance products, market segments, and marketplaces, with the ability to apply this knowledge to meet business goals and objectives.

    White Label and Program Marketing exposure Knowledge of the supplemental health and final expense market Experience working with and developing, IMO, FM, MGA and special program business.

    Life and Health License a plus.

    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to think analytically and strategically to identify and solve problems, implement solutions, and advance business initiatives.

    Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and escalate issues to management. Outstanding organizational skills, including prioritizing and follow-up, and the ability to handle competing demands and priorities. Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience re-defining goals and values of the sales organization, leading the introduction of new products. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin is a plus.
